Hmm....

maybe putting M9 in Garven would make him a bigger target. And that way he could give re-rolls and focus.

Jyn Erso in a nearby ship with crew slots would probably be your best option. The U-wing might be a good choice if it gets some decent buffs from the Saw's Renegades expansion.

Alternatively, you could take Kyle Katarn in the HWK with Moldy Crow. You could then give him an Ion Cannon Turret and then have the T-65's pounce on any ionised ships.

Garven's middling PS6 could be an issue as @Gilarius mentioned. To get around this you could give him R2-D6, VI and Vectored Thrusters to make it a bit harder to arc dodge him. You could also take Fenn to coordinate a high PS boost/barrel roll (either via upgrades or possibly the new title that's coming), but it's debatable whether its worth investing that many points in what may be a gimmick at best.
