Zuvio build

By stormblest, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I have been on a kick lately of playing ships that I don't play with often. Things like the quadjumper, M3A, G1-A etc.

In saying that I have a Zuvio build I want to show to get the community's thoughts.

Quadjumper: •Constable Zuvio (30)
Spacetug Tractor Array (2)
Veteran Instincts (1)
•Cikatro Vizago (0)
Cluster Mines (4)
Pattern Analyzer (2)
•Cloaking Device

The thought is to cloak turn one and stay cloaked until I feel like I need to decloak. At the end of round one I use Cikatro Vizago to switch cloaking device to scavenger crane so as I drop bombs I can get them back and reuse.

Pattern analyzer allows me to take an action after I use Zuvios ability.

Thoughts?

Now that is nifty, I admit! permacloak can be very nice on a QJ. I, however, like Cad and Bomblets on a VI Zuvio - guaranteed endless bombs, reasonably high ps, action is free to Spacetug or defense focus, which is even better on a permacloaked QJ. And those bombs are WAY more potent with Cad.

I agree Cad Bane would be an awesome addition but it definitely decreases on survivability of the QJ. I have played with this build and tractor beaming and then barrel rolling enemy on to mines or in the path of them is very fun.

If I wanted to keep him this way what would be a good cad bane carrier?

Not to mention I like that I have found a very cool use for an obscure crew (Cikatro Vizago) in a non-epic game.

I am beginning to think of similar uses of him in future list building.

I think a great setup, if you were to keep (more or less) this build, would be like so:

Zuvio

VI

Cad Bane

Bomblets

Pattern Analyzer

Spacetug Tractor Array

Jakku Gunrunner

Pattern Analyzer

Prox Mines

Vizago

Cloaking Device

Spacetug Tractor Array

Lok Revenant

Predator

TLT

EM

Prox Mines

Conner Nets

Havoc

Enhanced Scopes

R4-E1

So, this is the Zuvio I suggested: high PS to capitalize on bomblet dropping, action free to focus or Spacetug, Cad can improve EVERYONE's bombing.

The Gunrunner is your build - this guy is better at laying mines, what with his low PS.

The Lok Revenant, with Enhanced Scopes, lets you activate 1st, so you can drop your mine EXACTLY where it needs to be without your opponent moving first and getting away. You can even do that after a red with R4-E1. Then, even if you are stressed, Predator gives a reroll to both TLT shots.

You could drop the Spacetug Arrays to get Nym if you wanted!

That looks pretty dope. I might trade the torps and Tractor beam for something a little more on the Slaver. EU maybe? Or an Outlaw Tech to help with mods
