I magnetized the bases for a YT-1300 and a Decimator. Partly because a lot of the colored bases have warped pegs and don’t stand straight or won’t even stay connected. The decimator is on an FFG blue base and the YT is on a stock base I spray painted grey.
The rods are actually 1/4” x 2” magnets. I drilled out the base and glued in a 1/4” x 1”4 in magnet. Also replaced the ship’s peg with a magnet.
Strong and stable.
(P.S. I know the deci is missing its bottom turret. It broke off then got re-purposed. I plan to replace it with something else eventually).
