ATAT Weapons, Magnets to swap them round?

By VAYASAN, in Star Wars: Legion

Might have been asked before(sure it will have) but is the ATAT made in such a way that you can magnetize weapons and the weapons ports and swap them round?

Any idea what magnets/size is suitable if so?

Thanks

(I think you mean AT-ST)

Based on the clever things I've seen people do, I imagine it would most definitely be possible.

Opps, correct, where did that come from, maybe I was just getting excited at the idea of our four legged friend appearing :)

Should be fine if it's anything like the ATRT connection point for the weapons.

I checked it out on demo night, and it will definitely work. A 1/8 magnet will fit nice and snug. You may need to drill out the hole under the 'chin' a tad, which may take a bit of fiddling as there is a chin hood that prevents easy access. But I really don't see anything too difficult. For the weapons, just clip them down a bit, glue on your magnet, and you are set.

What are people thinking about the mortar launcher? I was probably going to try drilling a small hole, super glue a magnet, cover it with a fine modeling putty, and painting over it. That way if I don't equip a mortar you don't see any marks.

@OccassionallyCorrect the paint might wear off from the rubbing on the magnet. Maybe some way to cobble together some kind of cover to swap in?

Hm, good point. I could put a blaster score over it so if it gets a little messed up it's nbd.

Maybe some other options exist?

Are the weapons not click fit like the air speeder? I haven't seen a good video of it so I don't know.

Some people put a small amount of super glue over the magnet to stop the paint rubbing off but I haven't tried that.

Mortar is the only weapon that doesn't click fit from what I have seen.

That's correct. The side mounted weapons seem easy enough to pop on and off, the front cannon may not be as easy, but the mortar is just glued on.

But the chin guns are only 'standard' weapon...correct? All others are upgrades.

Just checked, and right you are! Makes it easy.
