Its awesome!!!

Been running the same thing but score to settle Vessery. Havent loss yet in casual matches. Use to run Quickdraw swarm leader,Rexpertise, two academies. Like the two defenders alot better!!!!

Beat Kanan/Wulf. Poe/Fenn/Snap. Nym/Dash. And just played a couple days ago against Stress Ezra/Low/Eaden. In that game Quickdraw only lived two rounds but threw 16 red dice.

If people go after vessery first with ASTS, they will probably lose. Quickdraw cant be allowed to be firing 4 or 5 red dice every round while they try and take out Vessery. But attacking Quickdraw opens up nasty revenge shots and vessery driving crits through. I usually spend deltas evade, and dare them to shoot quickdraw knowing vesserys evade is primed and ready for swarm leader vegeance.

Looks solid. May have to try it out. I love me some swarm leader

I'm a little nervous about combining Swarm Leader with Lone Wolf (when you're colapsing on the same target, I feel like that'll lead to you more likely being in range to shut it off. However, the individual ships are all strong.

Per @wurms A Score to Settle Vessery seems like a great fit in the squad, too.

My thinking on Lone Wolf Ryad was end game survivability since QD will probably get focused down pretty quickly.

I've considered Lone Wolf on Jess Pava, since she's also likely the last ship on the table. It's certainly an option, but it's the kinda thing which makes me scrunch up my face a bit and think "is this really right? is there something else which won't have the drawbacks?" It may be a strong choice for the list. But I'm also going to keep an eye on it over play, consider if something like Intensity is also good. Hrm. Maybe not in this variant. Part of what makes Intensity good on Defenders is fairly often you don't need your Evade; your opponent focuses fire on someone else, or you're just not in arc (that might be a turn after you use Intensity... in general on an Intensity/x7, don't feel like you need to flip it every turn). But here, QD spends the Evade token, so you can't use it to flip Intensity. Likewise, Juke probably would be sub-optimal, since Ryad almost surely wouldn't have the token. As such, Lone Wolf might be the best choice for Ryad. At least, I can't think of any 2-point Elites which really fit better in this list in particular. Perhaps just Crack Shot and either a bid or TIE Mk.II on someone.

Vessery can really help burn down an enemy, and still will be tanky - a defensive focus to protect himself, plus he's getting TLs on the target with soft-focus crits.

Now, I would use Juke on Ryad, and not use Swarm Leader - I think the defenders want their evades too much.

How do you feel about Rage and TIE mk. II's on Ryad? You'd really only use it on rounds when you don't expect to be attacked the following round (as you won't have an evade) or when you want to use her as bait to draw fire away from QD and Vess or whoever your last defender is.

With Vessery, it makes Ryad more of a target, as she can enable Vess while still potentially being a powerhouse herself. Not taking down Vessery before Ryad means a lot more damage your opponent should expect in the mid game, since Ryad could just use the standard focus/evade and tank up. If you're using a generic defender pilot as your third, it might not be worthwhile. Ryad would take all the fire after QD went down and Rage wouldn't help in that situation, unless you adopt the mindset of "kill them before they kill you" and throw caution (and defense) to the wind.

GAHHHHHHHHH NO NOT RAGE. I don't trust Rage AT ALL unless you have reliable access to Inspiring Recruit.

Got another game in with swarm leader quickdraw, score to settle Vessery, x7 delta.

Versus Ptl,adv sensors Kylo, VI vessery, ps1 Epsilon.

Chased Kylo for a few rounds. Then as his vessery approached i switched targets just as his kylo ran away.

As time ran out, I got his vessery. One of the best games i played skill wise. I didnt lose a single shield in the game. We were both playing very defensively, and I only used swarm leader once, for the final kill shot on his vessery and I needed it, as his vessery rolled 2 evades + evade token, I got 4 four hits at range 2 thanks to swarm leader.
