Imperial veterans vs rebel aces list

By jace27, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So I got into x-wing alil while ago. Only had a few games. I liked the look of the aces and veterans boxes but decided to get the individual ships. So I have a core box. A wing. B wing. Tie bomber and tie defender.

So I thought 2 balanced lists list like this.

Rebels

Tycho celchu

Push the limit proton rockets

32 points

Wedge antilles

Dead eye

Proton torpedoes

R5 astromech

35 points

Ibtisam

Autoblaster

33 points

100 points total

And for Empire

Colonel vessery

Predator

Ion canon

41 points

Captain jonus

Ion pulse missiles

Seismic charges

27 points

Mauler mithel

Squad leader

19 points

Obsidion squad

13 points

100 points total

I wanted to have all named pilots but couldn't fit them all with Empire.

Any help would be cool

First things first - I encourage you to proxy cards as you explore the game. Until you get to a tournament, proxying is fine, and it helps you learn and figure out what you want to fly (buy).

Now then, as for builds, inspired by yours:

Tycho

A-Wing Test Pilot

Chardaan Refit

Push the Limit

Rage

Autothrusters

Wedge

Expertise

Flight-Assist Astromech

Integrated Astromech

Ibtisam

Wired

B-Wing/E2

Hera Syndulla

Linked Battery

Collision Detector

Tycho can Boost or Evade, then PTL into Rage (focus and rerolls).

Wedge has auto focus results on offense thanks to Expertise, free boost/roll to make sure he gets arc, leaving his action for a defensive focus or a target lock.

Ibtisam has a fully open dial, and as many rerolls as she wants on everything.

Imperial (I'm not much of an Imp player, so I diverged farther from your original list here):

Ryad

TIE/X7

Push the Limit

TIE Mk. II

Tomax Bren

Crack Shot

Unguided Rockets

Lightweight Frame

Mauler Mithel

Veteran Instincts

Dark Curse

Ryad has 3 actions and an absurd amount of greens, including green K-turns at every speed.

Tomax focuses every turn to fire his unguided rockets, and has 3 defense dice. A lovely little piece.

Mauler has VI to help him get into range 1.

Dark Curse is annoying AF.
