Testing out garm feedback appreciated

By stev, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

In my quest to make less used commanders i want to try out the man who is no longer canon garm. With this fleet any feedback or edits especiallyh with objectives and composition would be appreciated.

Name: Viper squadron
Faction: Rebel
Commander: Garm Bel Iblis

Assault: Most Wanted
Defense: Contested Outpost
Navigation: Solar Corona

MC75 Ordnance Cruiser (100)
• Garm Bel Iblis (25)
• Ordnance Experts (4)
• Electronic Countermeasures (7)
• Assault Proton Torpedoes (5)
• External Racks (3)
= 144 Points

Nebulon-B Escort Frigate (57)
• Flight Commander (3)
• Fighter Coordination Team (3)
• Yavaris (5)
= 68 Points

GR-75 Medium Transports (18)
• Bright Hope (2)
= 20 Points

Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36)
• External Racks (3)
= 39 Points

Nebulon-B Support Refit (51)
• Quad Battery Turrets (5)
• Salvation (7)
= 63 Points

Squadrons:
• Lieutenant Blount (14)
• 3 x Z-95 Headhunter Squadron (21)
• Gold Squadron (12)
• Ten Numb (19)
= 66 Points

Total Points: 400

only one hh? try to find the points for OE, you will love it to make sure that one ER shot counts. And it's less likely to survive w/o TFA and friends, so how about making the Ord cruiser the profundity and hiding the hh? now you have a nasty surprise for anyone who attacks the profundity, or the hh and profundity tgt can drop lots of blacks on some unfortunate ship(s)

Change Bright Hope into Asoka on the flagship. Not much point in protecting an empty Flotilla and Asoka allows you to swap about the Garmm tokens throughout the game. For example, allowing Yavaris to activate 3 squadrons a turn for several turns in a row.

That makes good sense do you have any other advice or obj help?

Just stopped by to 2nd Mad Cat; Garm & Asoka are like BFFs4EVR. I might replace Ten Numb for Jan, those Z-95s are going to blow up as soon as they get sneezed on. Maybe drop Gold to an A-Wing to intercept a guy like Mauler who will ruin your squads quickly.

If i do that then is their any piont to keeping yavaris?

Well, you dont have Toryn and it looks like you want to double tap with Ten, and withour Ms. Reroll, it might not proc even once before your opponent sees that and focuses Ten down, or just stays away from him.

Yavaris is still extremely powerful and with 66 points of squads you'll want to keep her to make 66 points of squads "doubly" deadly.

On the other hand, dropping your Yav for a flotilla will free up 48 points, you could easily add three X-Wings or YT1300s to escort Ten, and have 7 points left over. Maybe throw in Boosted Comms or ExHB.

I'd like to see Strategic Advisor on the MC75.

Swapping the Zeds for Shara & Tycho, then turning Gold Squadron into a basic Ywing would fund it.

I agree with the ashoka change now just struggling with squadrons and objectives.
