Do we know if we will have to buy all expansions to have all special cards for the units in the core set?

In other words, are there more cards for the AT-RT box than in the core set?

Yes there are different cards in the core set and the expansions.

The AT-RT specific cards (it's weapons) all come in both the core and expansion. I think the only upgrade the AT-RT can use that doesn't come in the core is comms jammer.

As far as I am aware, there are currently three cards that are not unit specific and not included in the core set: Impact Grenades, Grappling Hook, and Comms Jammer. But each card will be included in four different expansions so far.

All revealed Corps expansions contain the Impact Grenade and Grappling Hook card, but you'll need more copies for the 2 Corps units in the core set anyway, and since they are in EVERY Corps box I don't think the price will be too high on eBay, unlike some of the Armada upgrades. Until you can get copies on the secondary market, the rules text on the cards are well known so casual game proxying should be easy.

AT-RT and Speeder bikes all have the Comms jammer card (2 copies in the Speeder Bike expansion), but that card is also in the AT-ST and T-47 Airspeeder.

To confirm, the only card so far that the AT-RT can equip that it does not come with it in the core set is the Comms Jammer.

Also, it's not a card issue, but remember you get a different driver sculpt in the expansion box AT-RT and Speeder Bike than you do in the Core Set (in case you want some visual variety).

Im afraid ffs is going to try to drill our wallets with "must have" expension cards... As they do with xwing.

Imagine false cards market. With same quality as original. So you can have cards without buying expension and play official tournaments.

Except unlike X-Wing the cards are in multiple expansions and in expansions for both sides. Heck, the Speeder bikes have two copies of the Comms Jammer card, but can only field one at a time.

eBay has a bunch of sellers who sell the real cards pulled from expansions and then sell the ships with just the bases. The same thing will likely happen for Legion, just so people can get the 2+ copies they need of impact grenades/grappling hooks for the Corps units they got from the Core sets.

Comments from Alex Davy (see the other thread about that Q&A) seem to indicate that all non faction/unit specific upgrades will eventually show up in both factions. Maybe not all at the same time, but if an Imperial unit drops with like, Ion Grenades, you can expect eventually a rebel unit will also drop with Ion Grenades.
