My wife has been playing around with a technique called Acrylic Pour for her painting hobby. I immediately thought "dang that looks like a space cloud."

Using the templates from HotAC cut out of Masonite, I turned them over and got these back:

Not bad. Not bad at all.

That is actually really cool!

those look great! 2 part epoxy resin of different colors will do the same thing except translucent, though its messier to work with

The paint winds up pretty thick. You can even see the texture in the last photo in the top cloud.

Ion cloud obstacle? Yes please!

Maybe it is just the camera work I don't think they look much like a nebulous clouds. Too pastel it is hard to see through them (again might just be the camera) and the edges seem too rigid, not fluffy enough.

However cut them into circles and they would look perfect as gas giants. I'm seeing more wind-bands of Juputer than Eagle Nebula here.

Wrong franchise, Star Trek is where funky space clouds live. But I think SW has room for them too.

Nebulas are pretty common in Clone Wars & Rebels.

Those are really sweet! I agree with the others, they look kinda trippy and phychadelic. They'd probably show up in the old Marvel Star Wars comics!

I think you need to come up with some sort of HotAC mission that involves those.

Also, I'm super jealous and kinda want some now! Do you know if there's a tutorial or something about how your wife made those?

Ion clouds in place of asteroids or debris fields would be pretty sweet.

There is an entire Rebels episode featuring the Archeon Pass. Disarm your proton torpedoes!!

This is where my wife got started, but there are hundreds of videos. You can also look for the topics "dirty pour" and "acrylic swipe."

1. Set up Etsy shop

2. Offer HotAC shaped cloud pieces

3. Profit
