Pretty sure it was the same answer x-wingers were given at launch. How about we, (and they) see exactly how commercially viable it is given the forums have already burned several times over scaling and other design/rule choices. Also, like it or not they still have to be cleared by LFL... and for some reason (as an observation) many of the better options for legion factions are area's of the ip they like to avoid or minimize.....

As above, I dont expect details, but imo if hey were considering further factions, it would benefit all to say it.

If they arnt considering it, id say 'there are two factions'.

He couldn’t even confirm or deny if they’d be releasing terrain the day before FFG released an article announcing terrain expansions. What would make anyone think he’d be able to confirm or deny something as big as an additional faction?

The only information his statement “there’s two factions” gives you is that at the time of the interview there is two factions. That could remain true or additional faction(s) could be released. Either way I don’t blame them for keeping it under wraps. If you tease another faction and people hold off on buying until Scum (etc) comes out, it’ll hurt their initial sales.

Why? Then if something happens and they don't get approval for the extra factions, or they are delayed, or they don't come out for a year and a half there are people upset that everything isn't released yet. By stating "there are two factions," which is true, there are currently two factions, people focus on what is out rather than what may eventually be released.

Dunno if i'm coming across clearly, but your last line is kinda my point. As for the prequels... i would like to think that's the case, but when you consider xwing still hasn't touched the early stuff (besides the arc retrofit) when they will instead have no problem announcing the quadjumper... it sounds a lil too close to true, added tinfoil or not.

Yeah, I got you there, I was just pointing out that is some Prequel things that Disney seems to be bringing forward. Even in X-wing, they released the Arc-170 and the Auzituck.

Not to mention the new Destiny characters that are only in the prequels/Clone Wars series.

Hopefully FFG figures out how to market the skirmish mode of imperial assalt and we can develop a skirmish mode tournament scene for that.

Here is how you can market IA skirmish mode. Play it with people. That game really speaks for itself.

Or they could make a product that focused on getting new skirmish players so that maybe people would know the game existed
