New card from Dim Carcosa

By zooeyglass, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

Hi friends,

Peter and I had the opportunity to announce a new card from the sixth Carcosan mythos pack, Dim Carcosa, to the community today. So we've done an episode all about Time Warp, including our reactions, the possible rules queries and all of that. You can find the card over on our Facebook page (https://en-gb.facebook.com/drawntotheflamepodcast/) but also hear the cast here: http://drawntotheflamepodcast.blogspot.co.uk/2018/03/episode-52-time-warp.html Definitely worth checking out the episode as we include a load of rules discussion on there, already clarified with Matthew Newman. The card is absolutely nuts and we're so delighted to announce it to the community!

After seeing the card, I think I'm gonna need to listen to your cast, hahah.

Recommended listening! A lot to work through! (I have also put the rulings on arkhamdb - and it's maybe the most extensive write-up I've done. Please note the xp is currently wrong on the db though.)

Imagine the potential nonsense itcould cause if you placed it under Sefina's investigator card at the start of a game! :o

Having listened to the podcast, it strikes me that Drawn to the Flame is, ironically, a great opportunity for this card. If you decide to push your collective luck for another Victory point, but then after four encounter cards decide that the cost was too high, you can reset and either have another go, or leave it be. As long as you can remember how to reset the game state after up to four encounter cards worth of activity, obviously!

You're thinking of Delve too Deep. Although Drawn to the Flame works well with it, too -- just on a smaller scale. :)
