As it's only eternity 15 days until one can assemble miniatures, when do you think we'll hear about the next new units after the Snow/Fleet Troopers? Or maybe an explanation as to what Special Force units are?

Not sure when but will wager special forces are up next, makes sense to complete the force organisation slots.

Maybe snipers,

Maybe commandos,

Maybe jump pack troopers,

Soo many options!

I think we get more announcements as Leia/Veers and the other 2 troops come close to being on the shelves. They stated the game will have an aggressive release schedule, i'd assume for at least this first year. To be honest i'm kind of curious if they plan on doing their own brand gaming mats for the game, like they did with X wing. There are some other good mats out there but some of those companies are based out of the UK and shipping to the US for those is just crazy expensive. It would be nice to have more accessible options that are also licensed to be very accurate to the movies.

As far as special forces go, I would assume units like death troopers, scout troopers on foot, more specialized units would fit in. Some kind of rebel/bothan or heavily armed commando unit for rebels. Something like an E-web weapons team might fit under support instead of special forces.

@DarkTrooperZero Is the Jump pack troopers a wish list item or was an actual hint dropped? I know the rules for Jump are already in the game so it wouldn't be super hard to add them at some point.

I seem to recall reading that scout trooper snipers were mentioned directly by someone involved in Legion's development at some convention or another, so I'm inclined to think those would be among the next Imperial units released after Snowtroopers.

Loved the dark troopers from the old battlefront game.

Jump/Jetpack troopers is a speculation, but I think we should consider anything which has appeared on a screen (large or small) an eventual lock for the game if it goes on long enough.

So Jumptroopers (Rebels), Shoretroopers, Deathtroopers, the Mud and Range troopers from Solo, etc.

EDIT: Scout Troopers are a lock though, Alex Davy specifically called them out at the... Gencon reveal I want to say?

I agree that we will probably see some form of jetpack trooper, especially as Jump X is already a keyword in the game, but I'm not sure they will be in the next batch of releases. Another commander probably, as the Rebel speculation so far is that we will see most of the named characters sooner rather than later.

Jumptroopers for both sides would be nice. I would also like to see a scout trooper squad whether it be a sniper team or just light, fast stormtroopers.

I would say gama (next week) will have a good chance of having another new expansion for late q2/ early Q3 being announced as I’m expecting Leia/Veers mid Q2

Plus Death tropers/rebel comandos (aka alliance special forces).

Veers and Snowtroopers are currently slated for April according to Spanish FFG site, Leia and Fleet Troopers May according to same source. Spanish site was first place March 22 release date was publicly announced for Legion's initial release. So we'll see if the Spanish site continues to be accurate.

You may also get a pack of 2-3 stormtroopers with a large variety of guns and cards. I think there is scope to both add new things and complement existing.

I'm hoping they look at the classic Battlefronts myself. Better for vehicle integration to.

My first thought on seeing the way the current Trooper and Specialist upgrade cards were worded was that at some point we will probably see options for that slot that aren't restricted to a single unit, such as Probe droids or something like Imperial Officers.

Yeah I'm personally hoping that maybe after we get maybe like 3 different corps units, they roll out a generic like "Imperial Specialist" or "Rebel Specialist" pack with a few different options besides reinforcements for Personnel. Heavy Weapon seems balanced with the base unit in mind so I don't know if we'll get more variety out of those.

Unless they did like a 6 pack with like +2 for each unit type (srsly FFG gib Fleet Troopers the Deck Sweeper stun blaster it was like made for them)

i just want something to do with mandalorians or bounty hunters i know there probs far out maybe not boba fett i can see him comming same time as solo

An eternity is right.. 22nd just can't come fast enough.

Honestly id love to see death star troopers.. I suppose they would probably function much like rebel fleet troopers

So that’s pushing mid to late Q2 if we see the usual delivery model. They haven’t arrived yet but those dates are best case scenario.

Imperial;

Spec-Ops= Scout Troopers (as snipers).

Trooper= Naval Troopers (or death star troopers, depending on your choice of media).

Commander= Kendal Ozzel (and his mighty moustache).

Rebellion;

Spec-Ops= Rebel Commandos (or alliance rangers, which is what IA calls them).

Trooper= Cold Weather Troopers (or echo base troopers, as they,re commanly called).

Commander= Han Solo (dual pack, along with his trusty walking carpet).

both of these are released with the core. I'd rather have Rebel Saboteurs and 2-3 wound Wookiee warriors

I'm just happy (spoiler) rex is canon on endor now. He should have been in a rebel "strike" team but I'll settle for him being in the core trooper pack.

as well as a few other characters that I had thought either would die or thought to have already been dead.. good and evil. 'Rebels' has definitely opened the door for QUITE a bit!
