The PS 6 Generic Silencer with VI, FCS, Advanced Optics, Autothrusters, title would be probably the best "ace" in the format. PS 8 with a crazy good dial and lots of action economy. The title here is probably optional. Alternately, going Push the Limit/Advanced Sensors would be crazy cool. PS 6 is still going to be quite high in an all-generic format. I think I like the plain action economy, though.

I'm a huge fan of generic TIE/SF with Accuracy Corrector and Lightweight Frame (maybe Sensor Cluster, Pattern Analyzer, or Primed Thrusters, as taste and points allow). It's almost like a Defender with sorta 3 green dice, 6 HP, and an action which can be saved for defense, at the same 28 points as a Delta/x7. No white K-turn, but two arcs and the potential to double-tap. Accuracy Corrector works well with the unique-FCS requirements, and the lower PS of a Generic (as opposed to the PS 11 of Quickdraw), since you won't be able to stick on the same target as well, and if you can't do stick on one target multiple times, Accuracy Corrector will do more damage overall.

Generic TIE Defenders of either title (and any cannon except Tractor Beam) are also pretty reasonable. For maximum consistency with full defense, a Glaive with Expertise/x7/TIE Mk.II would be the best, but depends on how points work out. Going for a Crack Shot Glaive with no mod, or any generic would also be fine. Would a Jamming Beam TIE/D work? Missing range 3 is an issue, but even attacking last you could deprive your opponent of a token next turn, which will likely translate into them doing less damage, or taking more damage.
