Hello All,
This is my first game out of Seattle Regionals with my Nest of Vipers list. Based on those games: stims became cloaking device, Dalan became BSA, and I picked up 2 Seismic torps for the heck of it.
Nest of ‘Vipers…
Thweek: both titles, FCS, CD, AT
Guri: Mk2, Predator, AT, Seismic Torp
BSA: Mk2, Predator, AT, Seismic Torp
My Opponent…
Carnor Jax: Title, PtL, AT, SD
PS 3 Phantoms x2: Intel Agent, Stigium Particle Accel., Sensor Jammer
For some reason, I tried to play the game as a close quarters knife fight when I should have broken away. My list is all about frequent bendy BRs, but I only did a couple the whole game due to Intel Agents telling Phantoms where to BR coupled with tight terrain placement.
Carnor dropped first after a few small damage engagements across the ships; BSA dropped around that time too. Once Carnor was out of the way, I could take focus tokens again and diminish the effectiveness of 8 pts. of SJ yuckiness. The Empire is cleared from this sector while Guri and Thweek survive (although Thweek just barely).
I am glad to have taken CD even though I only used it during the opening approach. This is where Thweek often gets focus-fired down in other games. Never fired a ST; it is hard to sacrifice your only action. Perhaps they would be better on someone with PtL. I remain defiant about Predator and am not looking to take PtL at this time.
