What happened to "Gathering Storm"?

By limelight, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

It's now listed as at the printers and not on the boat...anyone have a clue?

Whoa,

I hope that's a mistake in the listing. It would suck to have to wait another two months.

Maybe the boat sank and they had to print new copies? Yeah, I'm making this up :P

I think they forgot some Whatever-o-Meters and need some innovative rules. Maybe some spectacular never seen rule called... ähhhm... McMuffin.

A powerful GM Tool which is to be spoken of for hundred of years. (sorry for bad grammar!)

We need many more whatever 0 meters.

We have enough whatever o meters.

We need some new innoventative whenever o meters instead.

A mcguffin o meter for instance

The boat went too near to Somalia.

So watch out for 'pirated' copies... partido_risa.gif

The boat got lost and had to head back to port. That's not the printers, its the docks...

Well I contacted CS about it. I got a very general reply that they wouldn't speak to this particular issue but mentions factors such as quality control that could lead to something being sent back or reprinted or simply people not being on the same page.

"I can't comment on that specifically - but in general when the status changes, that means there was either a quality issue, or (sadly often happening) one of the multiple people who update the list was not 'on the same page' as the others. That website is a combination of people in Sales, Production, Marketing and Shipping getting all the data together and updated!"

Well, if the cards or some other components were misprinted I'll gladly wait. If they had them redone just to fix a couple typos to fend off the spelling Nazis that are quick to point these out as flaws, I'll be disappointed. Yeah, I want cards and books without typos too, but this was a product that was needed sooner rather than later, so a 2 or 3 month delay is unfortunate.

I'd actually rather have the GM Toolkit before TGS at this point. ;)

Blast that 720 Elf! He's struck again and this time it's The Gathering Storm!

.

now this is sad news, I was hoping to get it befor Eastern but it looks like it will be great if GM Toolkit will be in Europe befor it.

Personally I would have rather had the campaign then the tool kit. I am more curious about this book, I want to see them put their rules to use in an extended campaign.

Amazon has updated the delivery date of my pre-order to May 4. Now we all know Amazon's info isn't always accurate, but I have to assume it is based off of the info they get from their distributor, which in turn is based off of info FFG provided. So unless this date turns out to be wrong, it looks like a delay of about a month, so not as bad as I'd feared when the status first reverted to "at the printer."

I hope you're right. I'm delaying the start of my campaign until this is released and some of my players are already pretty sick of D&D. ;)
