Hey Ravencat, here's a good joke for you- Using actions taken by both players as a metric for who will win the game!

It works for targeting priority, as well as list building, it's deeply embedded with both arc dodging and dice modification , which means it has a direct effect on damage dealt and taken. Just make sure you're counting virtual actions (IE passive mods)

A lot of the unique pilots are great. The problem is that so many effects have splash damage almost as an 'afterthought' that even squads not specifically designed to engage swarms can take them apart.

Wampa, Backstabber, and Snap Shot Mauler Mithel are all great things to drop into a squad.

He's okay, but I actually find his ability less useful than Mithel's. Mithel's ability pairs with snap shot incredibly well, whilst Scourge generally has to fire first (meaning a target hasn't taken a damage card yet). I guess his ability should be good in an extended fight, but the target I want to dogpile with a swarm almost always seems to be dead by the time Scourge gets to fire.

That may just be personal experience, though. I do keep wanting to try him with Swarm Leader....

I can see squads of six TIE fighters (ideally without howlrunner). But I'm always concerned that no matter how good their pilot abilities, a sixth ship isn't enough to justify losing a 3rd attack die and a 4th hit point.

But then, I quite like squads of 6 TIE/fo, and want to make TIE/fo All-stars work (they don't), so what do I know?
