So now that we've got three to choose with what seems to be good differentiation from one another how do people think of them? Which one is your preference?
Profundity
Liberty
Home One

I desperately wanted the Liberty to be my favorite Rebel large base, as I was so eager to get it on the board when it came out! However, having played all 3 (granted, Home One and Liberty far more times than Profundity), I rank them as follows...
NOTE: I'm factoring their point cost pretty heavily in this ranking
#3 Liberty: Its poor overall shielding, coupled with mediocre firepower (for its price range) are my primary reasons to put this poor guy at the bottom. His upgrade bar, movement, and stats are workable.
#2 Profundity: This guy could be a contender for 1st with a bit more play-time. I like the balanced distribution of quality firepower, strong maneuverability, good shielding, a nice stat-line, and versatile upgrade bar. A little min/maxing with this chassis looks to produce a real beast that even a well-equipped ISD will think twice about crossing swords with.
#1 Home One: Right now, the Big Pickle still rules the large-base category for Rebels. It has no significant weakness, apart from a lowly speed of two and no available Weapons Team upgrade. It can really pile up on defense however, while still delivering respectable ranged firepower. A quality centerpiece to any Rebel fleet.
Edited by LeatherPants#1: Home one, amazing on the defensive and strong on the offensive, only weakness is its no weapons team, even its speed 2 is workable (though it makes zero sense to be speed 2, i mean compare its engines to the speed 3 profundity!)
#2: the profundity, its got great firepower, speed, hull+sheilding and upgrade bar, if it wasnt for the iconography of the Home One, it would be #1
#3: the liberty, its not a large base ship, built to be command centres fo the fleet. Its more like a medium base ship, built for being either A) ships of the line, supported by others of its kind, or B) medium Flankers. The only thing it has going for it is its front arc, otherwise its just (quite literally) a larger Neb-B, with a price tag to match.
Now this doesnt mean i dont use the liberty, but compared to the other 2 rebel large ships, especially the profundity, it seems suboptimal most of the time, i tend to use it only when i want a super mon karren.
Before profundity it was a different matter. Now if i want a speed 3 ship, with lots of hull and good firepower ive got just a good a option in the profundity without the 2shield weakness for a similar price.
I feel like the 3 Mon Calamari Cruisers have their own roles.
MC-80 Home One is the Rebellion's main stay Battleship/Heavy Carrier with a good mix of defense and firepower. It has an upgrade suite to compliment these roles depending on your build. Previously the top dog in long range combat with Ackbar, it has an excellent token suite and shield layout to keep it floating and gunning.
As for the MC-80 Liberty.... It is quite literally a Battlecruiser in my eyes. Battleship level firepower in a heavy cruiser platform at an increased size. The upgrade slots are primarily offensive oriented with the dual turbo laser slots and gunnery teams. I find it best at bullying smaller ships while using it's speed to hit and run from larger battleships. I find them the best to use with Raddus as being able to drop them at the perfect angle of deployment reduces damage taken on approach.
Lastly the MC-75. The Armored cruiser variant is quite the generalist with good firepower all around (Except the rear obviously) and squadron value. It can perform multiple roles though it doesn't quite hold up to more specialized ships in similar roles. The AC also has the largest upgrade suite to back up this generalist role with a sprinkle of everything baring the unique slots (Fleet Command/Experimental/Fleet support) and support team slot. The Ordnance Cruiser on the other hand is a tough close range brawler that compliments with Commander Sato extremely well with two Ordnance slots. Only the MC-30s can really compete with this style of play though it is much more likely to survive a heavy beating of concentrated firepower with the defense slot and Aspiration if you plan ahead. (It is kinda hard to compete with Admonition and Foresight in their defense capabilities honestly. MC-30s are REALLY good)
I for one actually love the MC80 Star/Battle Cruiser
Also, I believe that each Rebel large ship has it's unique role, and both variants of each (especially MC75) should be considered separately. That said, I also believe the actual ranking relies the most on player's preference and/or style, as each of this ship requires different conditions to shine (like, you would rather put Raddus on MC80 Assault than have it be the ship that jumps in). And neither of them is a bad choice.
So, my personal preference goes as this:
#6 MC80 Assault Cruiser - yeah, I know, weird. But the Doom Pickle was never my favorite and I don't often use it. It's of course flagship extraordinaire, but I rarely ever use Ackbar ![]()
#5 MC75 Armored Cruiser - kind of the same as above, it shines with Ackbar that isn't really my go to. It's also the one I'm least experienced with, so in time it might go up.
#4 MC80 Command Cruiser - I like it as a flagship/carrier, also with HIE it's ratings went slightly up
Being 8pts cheaper than Assault also helps, as I like to put stuff on ships ![]()
#3 MC80 Battle Cruiser - oh, the times we spent together... definitely my favorite until Wave VII, as I favored Madine as my commander. Really solid bruiser, though in need of support for his unreliable red die. Still, really effective in killing smaller stuff, which was somewhat predominant in my meta. Took a blow after Wave VII though, as it's not extremely good at killing ISDs. But flying it with Engine Tech, being as maneuverable ship as a CR90... that's beautiful.
#2 MC75 Ordnance Cruiser - I always liked Sato though I struggled to get the best of him. And I also adore Raddus. No wonder this guy made it so high, as it shines with any of them. Sato-WAB is way better then I anticipated, and well-dropped matryoshka style Profundity is just pure gold.
#1 right now... yup, MC80 Star Cruiser - I long negated the very existence of this ship due to it's many lacking areas (maneuverability without support, damage output, range, shielding... I guess I actually believed this to be a bad ship) . But Wave 7 stuff makes this ship really shine, be it Raddus or HIE, or better both. It's fair to say that right now I abuse this ship a lot and having learned how to fly it by using his Battle-brother I find him a fascinating brawler with tons of potential.
