What are your favorite One-Shots?

What are your favorite one-shots you've ran or been a part?

I had some fun sending my group on a luxury starliner to help a defecting Imperial scientist escape. They make their move in a zoo at a port of call...by letting the animals loose. Hijinks ensued.

More recently, last minute player cancellations forced me to set aside the first part of our "season finale," and instead wing my way through a heist caper on Aargau that I'd been noodling around with. More hijinks.

Premade? or concepts you used as a one-shot?

I ran a heavily modified version of the old adventure "Heavy Lifting" from the D6 days. Involves the PCs helping a Hutt get off planet before a gang of bounty hunters sent by a rival catch up to him. Lots of opportunity for the PCs to get creative in coming up with a plan on how exactly they will go about transporting said Hutt. I used this to segway from the first part of my campaign into the second.

I'm going to steal that first scenario! lol (if that's alright of course) I'm sure the hijinks from the zoo bit were great!

Either! I want to run a one-shot or two before I start a campaign with my group. I'd love suggestions for a good one or laughs from a funny one. Anything is fair game. :-)

That sounds like it allowed them to get very creative!

Go right ahead. It was inspired by a joke that came up here on the boards quite some time ago. In fact, if this helps with the inspiration---

That's the opening crawl I ran before the session.

I ran a one shot for our group to introduce a new player and try out Age of Rebellion.

The characters were prisoners of the Empire being transferred to an Imperial Intelligence Nebulon-B frigate that was a sort of mobile black site/lab for experimental interrogation methods. One of the characters was an Imperial officer looking for an opportunity to defect.

The frigate was attacked by a squadron of X-wings while the characters were attempting their escape, and the Imps jumped to hyperspace.

Add in a mad Imperial doctor, a detention block full of captured rebels, interogation droids, lots of explosions - everyone had a great time.
