best use of a U-Wing...

I found the U Wing from Mel's to be a slightly awkward size. A little bit too small in comparison to the other fighters in the game, and therefore too small (for me anyway) to be happy running on a single squadron stand.

I've included them onto a couple of X Wing Squadron stands.

I figure Escort works well for the U-Wing, as Imperial forces would likely attack a slower transport full of Rebel forces or a Rebel VIP before focusing on the other fighters

I mean, isnt the Uwing just gonna be the rebel equivalent of the gauntlet? Assault and maybe something else.

Personally, I’d love to see assault strategic. That would be cute

That, or Assault + Relay. More likely Assault + Rogue.

I can, but only relay 1, and on s platform inevitably more expensive than a VCX

I don't think it would be problematic if it was Relay 1. Without Strategic, it still fills a slightly different role than the VCX-100. That's just what I would like to see.

But, like I said, Rogue is more likely. I am pretty much certain that the U-Wing will be Assault + Rogue.

Nuts, I'm bummed to hear that. That does look tiny, especially just the cockpit compared with the x-wing cockpit. And I realize that most of the Rogues and Villains ships are not to scale with other squads, but that does look extra small.
