Tried a demo on Monday night. I really liked it! It did feel a little like my first time playing Armads with only a core set, so not very tactically deep. However, I see much potential!
And the way you choose objectives/deployment/environment is incredible!
Love the articles (especially the updated Imperial fleet one ); keep up the good work!

I don't know if anyone heard, but FFG released a new game. I gave it a try: http://www.steelstrategy.com/2018/03/impressions-from-my-first-legions-games.html
Those games are like the poster children for "not enough line of sight blocking terrain"!
Half the units in the game have abilities for ignoring or climbing terrain, the z-axis is where half the game's fun is at.

Agreed, I didn't set the table for the first and most of my terrain at home right now is 10mm. I need to build up my Legions appropriate terrain soon. Hoping to figure out a Scarif table.
My limited experience so far suggests this game is going to be better played casually with your buds than in a strict tournament setting, if only so that you can fight it out over custom terrain.

More Armada tomorrow. That being said...

I heard there is this prequal game to Legion. Anyways, I wrote an article about one of the core set units. Hope you like it.
