Virtual Tabletop for Star Wars EotE?

By nannerb, in Game Masters

I have been looking around trying to decide what would be best as an online resource for hosting sessions. My friends and I have done sessions in person but may need to move online due to people moving and schedules and such. I have heard that Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds are the two best options. I have tried the free version of Roll20 and Demo mode of Fantasy Grounds. I cannot figure out how to import, where to import, and what to import to have the rule sheets, dice, and what not. I understand the DM has to pay for a subscription for these services, which is fine, I just want to know how to import and if it is worth it to do so. Thanks for all the help

Fantasy Grounds has a GM version that is a bit more expensive (was 40 when I got it) but isn't sub I believe. There is a master edition that allows you to have people connect with clients for free but it's like 125 bucks or so. There is a community ruleset for this game for free for FG. If you want to tweak stuff in FG you have to know some HTML and LUA.

For Roll20 all you need to do is create a new game, select the correct Star Wars RPG Character sheet on the creation page, and then after the game is created, go to the game settings API script selection and select the Star Wars dice system... Pretty simple.
