I've been looking through different forums for an answer, but I'm still a little confused about how the force powers work. I understand that you can spend additional force pip on force upgrades, but how does that work if they've bought additional ranks in a single force upgrade? For an example, if a player has force move and purchased all the strength upgrades, can they spend they move up to a silhouette 4 object with a single force pip?

Yes.

Keep in mind that if you're moving a silhouette 4 object anywhere you're going to be dealing at least with the medium range band (the Millennium Falcon doesn't fit inside the short range band), if not the long range band, so you'll need the Range upgrade in addition to the Strength one.

And if the object in question is a ship, you might be dealing with a sizable Discipline check to overpower its repulsors or engines.

Hurl is also kinda required since just dropping a sil 4 object is unlikely to hit anything as it will take way too long to move it.
