Whenever I have to work on my tablet for something like this, I always use a specific code ([A] for advantage icon, [P] for proficiency die icon, etc.) and then use the CTRL+H (or CMD+H) to bring up the "Find and Replace" dialog. If you click on the "More >>" button on the bottom left of that dialog, you can add font replacement options to your find and replace search. That way, I can go through and replace the icons in large swaths when I push the document from platform to platform.
