Dodonna's Mc75+MC30

By Kaashifar, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Hey all

I've only played this fleet twice but both time it won me the game. The combination of continued fire with APTs, and the placement of Garel's Honor seem to be giving me the firepower needed to take down the opponent's big ship and then speed up and keep my remaining ships alive until end of turn 6. Light Fighter Screen of A wings + EWS on the big boy has been fairly effective as well, but I haven't played against a fighter heavy list yet.

I'm debating changing Jyn Urso (on the HH) for Cham, seems like I'd get a bit more milage.

On Profundity not sure if you care about the two points or taking a full 10 point bid but in my opinion having run a similar fleet is that all you need is Ord Experts. Its the black rerolls for APTs that you want. In my build I traded my EWS of ECM just needed help surviving the big rolls and you have a better fighter screen then mine did. And I'd move Dodonna to Admo for more balancing out your points if you are forced to trade ships in any engagements (as well as admo is beast at surviving).

All makes sense. I decided on EWS to complement my fighter screen, especially against Sloane and fighter heavy lists. As for admo surviving, it's true facts. I went head to head with an MC80, came out the other side with no shield but the MC80 bit the dust. First player FTW!

Ordnance Experts on the MC75 is in most cases better than Caitken and Shollan. Remember, you're probably going to be making multiple attacks, and Caitken and Shollan only boosts one attack. OE boosts both attacks. Plus you save two points.

Good point from you both. I like C&S because it mitigates not only the blacks but the fickle reds coming out of the side arcs. Rerolling a blank red into an accuracy can make a huge difference, which I'm willing to pay 2 points for, for now.. we'll see how it plays out after a few more games.

Though of course, I play a list like this with Sato, so I don't roll reds often enough to have to reroll them, so don't listen to me sometimes.:D
