It has always bothered me that I've never made a thread calling for the community to take a stand on this important issue.
Nobody uses them without Demolisher, so I think we can pretty much just define the whole class on the basis of that one title.

Hey, I currently have a CC fleet with 3, and a GCW fleet with 4 untitled GSDs.

On a more serious note, I think it's more about mental inertia than anything else. Demolisherless Glads do have a place in a fleet, people just don't realize it yet.

well, it's only been out 3/4 years so it's still a pretty fresh ship for people to try out

Is the GSD actually over costed or not worth its cost without Demolisher, (or for the 2nd and 3rd and 4th ones without the title)?
I've actually mostly been satisfied with them as long as my build plan also expected to have targets move towards the GSDs.
They're also silly fun to do squadrons with.
Is Demolisher so good that its actually even more than 10pts (some part of the cost baked into the chassis, say 5 pts)? And that's after including the bid tax of 15-20 points to ensure first in metas where first is very strong.

no because doing so is sub par. When you have the choice of "sub par" or "superior" you're of course going to build the superior. A player only has 400 points to field and no limit to what they can take so ya, of course they're going to take the best of what they can. Part of why CC is so much fun, it's nice to see limits put in place.
I realized that some time ago “GSD” left the lexicon and was replaced by referring to the entire class as “Demolishers.” The title is too good for the cost (even post nerf) to ever not run it on the first GSD in your fleet.
GSD2 w/ Demolisher? It’s a Demolisher 2
GSD w/ Demolisher? It’s a Demolisher
GSD without Demolisher? I have actually referred to it IRL as a “Demolisher without Demolisher”
GSD w/ Insidious? I refer to it as “a novelty.”
Which is sad, because I love everything about those title-less Demolishers except for the Demolisher title.

Imperial ships do not require nicknames. The abbreviations are good enough (ISD, VSD, GSD, etc.)

GSD-I or -II?
I keep looking at the rather-nice balance of range and capability for anti-squadron work on the GSD-II, but...I dunno. The Raider feels like it fits the role better, even if it's clearly a weaker platform, but...it's also lot cheaper for the difference.
One of those things...I want it to work, it just...well, yeah, I dunno.

2 GSD2's with Cymoon, Seventh fleet on all of them. In this case Cymoon can play Raider's role and longer range of GSD dice complements it quite nicely.

anecdotes are antidotes. play the game you want but don't try to sell it as "the best way". People take demo for a reason.

Some people take Demo for a reason and it works for them. some people don't take Demo for a reason and it also works for them. Don't confuse "best way" with "another viable path".
I am too drunk to read the whole thread. But what I did read does not (lots of spelling errors trying to sound smart) prevent the thread title from being applicable. I shall now refer to any GSD as rooty-tooty move and Shooty. Also, I move to refer to tie fighters as "you have Sloane? ****, I thought 4 MC30s was enough!"
