I’m guessing Rio Durant is a Duran Duran reference.
Mud trooper, really?
at least Range Trooper is similar to Scout Trooper, more like a job description than just sticking a terrain type onto trooper.
So we gots this list (movies only):
StormTrooper (as opposed to fair wheather troopers)
Sand Troopers (normal troops with dirty armor and big backpacks)
Space Troopers (troops that have some extra stuff on their armor so they can hang out in the exterior smoking areas on the DS)
Death Troopers (almost as scary as the real life Nazi stormtroopers)
Shore Troopers (Coastal Defense Troops was too stuffy sounding I guess)
Snow Troopers (really it’s either normal stormies in cold weather gear or special cold assault troops. Or Galactic Marines)
Scout Troopers. Like I said, these guys are properly named, along with Range troops I suppose.
and Mud troops. FAQing mud troops.
and let’s not forget all the pilots, guards, drivers, gunners, Clone Troopers and FO forces. But we all know it’s the OT that really counts.

In keeping the New Order’s Council of Human High Culture’s codified policy of Humanocentric speciesism, which centered around the belief (long, if privately, held by a minority of Humans in the Human-dominated Core) that Humans were inherently superior to other species.
The chief tenet of Human High Culture was that Humans were the only truly intelligent and productive members of any society. They cited that it was almost exclusively Humans who had formed and led the Old Republic and the Human worlds of the Core were some of the oldest, richest, and most advanced in the Galaxy.
As such, derogatory names for other species were in line with these policies.

I'll take Savage Oprah over Empty Nest any time.
Moralo Eval seems like something out of James Bond or Austin Powers.
Also Klaatu Barada Nikto are shout outs to day the earth stood still.

I know, and even as a 7 year old Buying the toys it was enough to take me out of the immersion unless I imagine a way to reconcile The Day the Earth Stood still as a SW movie. At least it would like up the Galaxy Far Far Away and our own planet. I guess technically this makes the entire SW saga is a prequel to a 1950s sic fi movie.

Yeah, cuz if my job was to troop thru mud I'd want sparkly white armor with a fur stole and a fur lined kama.
That's the Range Trooper. The Mud Trooper looks different than that.
