Early Copies

Has anyone else noticed on YouTube alot of really small channels have managed to get there hands on an early copy of the game.

I understand that the big channels got an early copy, but some of these channels have next to no subscribers.

How on earth are they getting a copy?

Being a creator of one of those small channels (Master of The Fleet), its actually the demo kit (which is just a core box) sent to the FLGS to paint up, showcase and demo on March the 8th.

So for us anyway, we just filmed the unboxing of it on behalf of the FLGS that normally hosts us.

Two and a half weeks, don't let some ones good fortune become a negative experience for your own.

I would also suggest that "next to no subscribers" is probably a state of play right now with next to no game being available, perhaps FFG is taking a punt on getting the game to these guys on the hope their channels will grow. I think it is exciting for us as gamers to have the choice of so many content providers and that FFG feels they are worth supporting, those small seeds now may end up being a fun and healthy game for us all in the long term.

Ahh that makes sense, I was hoping I could sweet talk my flgs for an early copy. Your video is actually one of the really good previews, some of the others tho are bad.

I enjoyed watching some of those smaller channel videos. They seem a bit more authentic sometimes. Less corporate sponsor vibe, more fan just enjoying something.

Man I'm still bummed that we didn't get an early copy. Oh well. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Yeah i was in talks with FFG to get one but they have been unresponsive for about 2 weeks now

I will say though, our FLGS (The Games Cube, Australia) was originally not listed to get one. But the store owner hounded ffg and the distributor night and day to get one.

I guess it makes sense if the FLGS gets a lot of pre orders so running demos before release date is great marketing.
