Hi,

I am quite new Armada player (X-Wing) and one issue I have in Sweden is that it is really hard to find some expansion. Many stores have alot of expansions out of stock. And even some of the biggest store actually said that some expansions are "End of life" which is strange when we know they aren't?

I live in Stockholm and we have many different stores and also a few more online stores. And I can't find any store physical or online that has for example: Imperial Squadron 1 + Chimaera + IMP Stardestroyer.

Is this common in other countries too or is it just a dry period right now?

I can't speak for issues in Europe(I'm stateside) but FFG in general has a lot of issues keeping stock up. It's not uncommon for the wave 1 fighters to be out for several months at a time. My recommendation would be to watch FFG's site where they'll show what part of the printing process they're in and just hit up a store close to when they're being shipped.

The chimaera just launched about a month ago so there's no way it's end of life, it's just FFG's weird production issues.

Ok thanks for the reply. That is good to know. What is funny is that one of the biggest stores told me that the Victory Class Stardestroyer is End of life and that they don't know when they are gonna restock Fighter Squadron 1, Chimaera and Stardestroyer.

When in doubt, call the Distributor. ?

Nothing is end of life for Armada do far, and its up to stores to order or not.

there is a chance the distributor may be out of stock or choose not to stock it...... but they order from FFG to fulfill orders.

I don't think I have advice. What I can say is that the largest store in Finland has all three of those in stock at the moment, but the other two main ones have none and have recently been struggling with some other expansions as well. I haven't been following super closely though.

Wait, maybe I do have advice: hop on a boat over to Helsinki, you can get the expansions you want and I'll play a game with you while you're here!

Haha thanks! But I think Helsinki is a bit far for a game and there are some stores that have one of each of these exp in stock but my main store doesn't and that is irritating.

Is it Asmodee that is the distributor in Europe/Sweden?

Not only is Rolf a great guy, but he's almost always in stock AND prices are VERY reasonable.

As far as I am concerned it’s impossible here in germany to get your hands the original german versions of the ISD and home one.

And I can’t say anything about wave seven as we haven’t got it yet.

But my LGS recently got a restocking of the stuff of wave 4 I think, so at least there seems to be something happening,

I surely can, i am already using the English ISD.

I am gonna wait some time though to see wether wave 7 will come to my lgs.

There are swedish and finnish translations? You dont even dub movies, every 14 year old probably speaks enough english to understand armada. I'm surprised.

No Swedish translations. No need. We all speak fluent English. Finnish? Don't think so; too small a market.

Are you trying to imply that our English isn't as good as yours?

No, there are no Finnish translations either.

Try bookdepository.com, free international shipping and usually the best prices I can find. They do not have anything from newer waves but if you want older ships and squadron 1 packs give them a shot.

I have been told that the problem with non English-language reprints is that FFG will only allow them to be done when they need to do English reprints. So if they sell out of French-language Imperial Fighters, but there is still an adequate stock of English-Language Imperial Fighters, then the French-speakers will have a long time to wait!

Currently on the French FFG site there are 4 expansion packs marked as "re-stocking" (which seems to mean that reprinting is in the pipeline) and 2 (both basic Imperial and Rebel Fighter expansions) that are simply out of stock (which seems to mean don't hold you breath!).

Alphaspel has imp squadron and stardestroyers, no Chimera.

No it hasn't. I know about Escapede and Rolf from the community.

But this is exactly the problem. I shouldn't have to order online and pay shipping costs when there are at least 5 different companies with local stores im Stockholm (Alphaspel, Webhallen, Dragons Lair, SF-bok, alltpåettkort and more.)

I will send an email to the distributor and ask. Webhallen even says that many expansions are "end of life" which is totally wrong lol.

Thanks! Just ordered the ISD with great price and free shipping. Have also bought other expansions from webhallen and alphaspel so now I am good for now.
