I played my first Arkham Skype game today with Tibs, it went well, but I thought it'd be fun if the game size could be extended further, but a different type of chat would be needed. Does anyone know of any?
Are there any free multi-user video or audio chats besides ichat?
Avi,
A friend and I have used ooVoo for the past several years when role-playing either D&D or Traveller. It is a webcam/chat program, and may meet your needs.

I swear I'll try to get a webcam so that everyone (you and any additional people) can see me, and see what's going on. It's funny how much Arkham Horror has affected my lifestyle so far.]
For all interested, we played Azathoth with a boosting custom herald. Things were going all right, but the herald effectively made the terror level shoot up, and near the end of the game (4 seals down, two to go) we got the TL10-beatdown.

Do you mean you started dressing like the Dark Pharoah? ::laugh::
More seriously, which custom herald? (if it's possible to know, obviously)

It's Fear of Azathoth [i'm thinking about changing the name to Dread of Azathoth, in a hat tip to the curse], there's a description in it a page or two back in the heralds thread in Fan Creations. I haven't made the fancy Strange Eons version yet ;') it's fairly nasty. It requires two other heralds to be played with it also, so we used The Arbiter of Reality, and Tzulscha. Heh...

Hmmm, I saw ooVoo yesterday, but I was under the impression that it's only free chatting for two users. Am I wrong? Anyways, I want something for more users :') MOOOOOORE!
Thank you Avi, I'll get a look at it in a couple of seconds
Side note: Dexter Drake died early in the game from being folded in half (acquired two Back Injuries)!
Idiot.

Turn One: Dexter shops.
Turn Two: Dexter goes to The Black Cave with all his equipment and gets two Back injuries.
Deeeeeexterrrrrrr Jenkiiiinssss! (One of the other investigators I was controlling was Bob Jenkins, and Leo Anderson replaced Dexter— it was a very Leroy Jenkins moment).
No no, Dexter sprinted to the Black Cave. His speed was maxed out. He was desperate to get snapped in half.

Well, Naturally, he was Leo Jenkins ;')
Avi,
About yearago, we could still support up-to-three other individuals for free. I think they've instituted a pay-plan for up-to-five individuals for maybe $20/month. As my friend and I run solo adventures in each of our respective campaigns, it's still free.

You're very welcome
Maybe in the next months we can organize an intercontinental skype play. I'd love to play with you and Tibs

Sounds good, but we should get some sort of basic format for the maps, and some guidelines for notations (I just winged it last game, and it was difficult— although I have some ideas to make it easier). For one thing, I think clues might actually need a separate sheet with alphabetical location list by town to keep track of them (otherwise you're constantly trying to erase them on spaces you wrote in monsters or investigators). Perhaps a second word document. Hrm... Unstables should be listed together, and then streets and stables together. Since they're far less likely to have anything on them. Locations can then be bolded when a clue appears on them, and marked with a number if additional clues appear on them.
