Lowhhrick and Friends

By Sasebo75, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So I have been tinkering with Lowhhrick as he is my new Biggs. I created 2 list centered around him with ships I like to fly, wanting to know what you think about them.

Squad 1:

Airen Cracken - Veteran Instincts, Harpoon Missles, Guidance Chips = 24

Keyan Farlander - Rage, Sensor Jammer, "Mangler" Cannon, B-Wing/E2, Inspiring Recruit = 40

Lowhhrick - Wired, Jan Ors, Jyn Erso, Experimental Interface = 36

Squad 2:

Horton Salm - Twin Laser Turret, R2-D6, Expertise = 36

Lowhhrick - Wired, Jan Ors, Jyn Erso, Experimental Interface = 36

Jess Pava - *M9-G8, Intergrated Astromech = 28

*Targetlock will be on Lowhhrick

As you can tell, I like my B-Wing and Y-Wings. Each list has different flavors but of course using Lowhhrick as a defensive buff for the other 2 ships.

With squad 1 do you have a plan for the extra Airen action?

Jan / Jyn on Lowhhrick seems cool, the 180 degree arc giving Jyn maximum focus. Who would you aim to protect with the extra focus / evade? I'm assuming you'll take reinforce and the stress for wired re-rolls.

It seems like it has a ton of action efficiency!

@eljms - I would give it to Lowhhrick to help aid in offense or defence. At first I would give all the focus and evade to Airen Cracken to let him survive to shoot out the Harpoon Missiles. Then from then on, it would depend on who they are targeting.

Sensor Jammer isn't worth it without a reliable way to ensure they can't change it back, which your list doesn't have. And Mangler just doesn't seem worth the points on a B-Wing, even for the Harpoon trigger.

Airen is good as is, but he is still Airen - he'll die fast.

Low seems okay, but fairly easy to outmaneuver when he's stuck to greens.

As for the second list, Low suffers from the same issue - very easy to outmaneuver. Horton is a little pricey for what he does, in my mind. Jess is nice, though.
