Okay so ran into a situation last night, Had QD Barrel Roll into range 1 of two ships, one in primary, one in secondary. I choose to attack both ships with Spec Ops. Ship A in primary has a harpoon token. There is an uncancelled crit result on Ship A. QD takes a damage. Do I finish my attack out of the rear, or since QD's ability really takes place in step 9(I think) do I start an attack within that attack shooting out of the front again, then the back, then the back again to finish out the original sequence, or do I attack out of the back, and then out of the front starting the attack from QD's ability? I know the results would be the same, but just for timing in case this happens again(BTW, it was planned for QD to lose a shield that round and do what happened and destroy both ships, just not really from the harpooned condition. )
QD and Harpooned! Condition(Timing)
Interesting case.
I believe you could choose in this instance, and resolve either the rear shot first then the shield-loss shot front and back, or the shield-loss shot front and back, then the rear shot.
God Harpoons are a timing nightmare.
QD was faq'd to happen at Step9 if it triggers during an attack. She'd technically trigger at the same time the extra attack does so i guess you can indeed pick which one is first.
I'd just finish the split-attack to avoid confusion though.

that's how we played it, I just thought It was interesting. And I guess it could make a difference especially with FCS on QD.

FCS triggers and resolves after each individual attack, but being able to choose to do primary > primary > rear > versus primary > rear > primary > rear makes a big difference. In the right direction for QD, fortunately.

Yes they have confused me so much! They are one of the reasons I have been reading so much here lately. I’m trying to get it straight.
