If Threat from the North is in play and Flame Kissed is played on three or less strength character without attachments, is the character discarded (effect of Threat from the North) or is the character killed (effect of Flame-Kissed)? Suppose it's a Greyjoy character and it turns out that it's suppose to be killed. Can Risen from the Sea be played to save it, or does Threat from the North kick in somewhere preventing that? What about other strength reducers cards that kill characters (i.e. Flaming-Pitch Tower)?

Nevermind, I found the answer on an older topic post answered by ktom. The First Player gets to choose what effect (discarded or killed) happens first.
