Different Turn Counter

By richarDISNEY, in Star Wars: Armada

Good afternoon,

I was wondering if any of you have 'upgraded' your turn counters? Instead of using those cardboard chits, which are small and not appealing....

Any ideas what I could "plus" my game with?

Thanks!

Yeah...I use my loot round counter...

Yep, store champs turn counter ftw.

While you certainly wouldn't buy the whole game just for the turn counter, Legion's turn counter is probably going to be my go-to solution once the game hits.

Uh, I'm cheap and not good enough to win tournaments. So a D6 on top of the turn token it is!

Paint a d6 with blue and orange sides... lol.

Or a d6 on top of the blue orange disc marker. I find that set up works better for me, cuz sometimes I'm not sure if I remembered or forgot to the turn or the squads or something.

Same here. Although lately I misplaced my D6 and usually end up using opponent's turn counters instead ;)

Ywing base, the hull points show the current turn and use the activation slider to show the current turn color.

This is a very simple and elegant solution in my experience.

Yup. Bonus points if you have a d6 from the game store you play at.

This was a turn counter I made: https://protomaker.io/prototypes/armada-turns/

I've been thinking about doing a newer version that is a bit smaller but still quite nerdy. ;)

That is a really good idea!

@OP, if you're looking for a cool toy for this, I'd point you to Corsec Engineering:

I have one of these. It's ridiculously overengineered but pretty fun.

They were given out as participation prizes at Polish National Championship 2017 :) I believe they're custom made by one of the TO's, who said something about it being test run before going into sale, but I had no further info.

I personally prefer the Recreator Studios version, myself.

I built one similar to this but using a speed dial as a base. I doesn't look as cool as this one, but its very practical. Unfortunately I'm on vacation and don't have it here to make a picture.
