Just finished listening to it - good job as usual

I do think 3 rounds isn't enough for a Regional - should be 4 minimum (unless 8 or fewer players I guess). Although I'm quite glad it was only 3 rounds otherwise I'd have faced you in the 4th round final Rikki, would have liked to see how that had gone though!

Still got most of the podcast to listen to, but I'll certainly say I agree with this sentiment! 3 rounds for Regionals seems far too small, I know 4 would be a long day but it is Regionals after all.

Exactly - 3 rounds is quite prevalent to match up variances. For example, there were two horrible bomber lists in the top 4 (Rikki's Nationals winning list and Ben's Euro winning list) and I won without playing either of them. Even 3 games and a top 2/4 cut would be better.

That said there are a number of factors affecting victory and match-ups is just one aspect - and referencing the podcast, I'd say Solar Corona played a large part in my victory

Speaking of which, the counter to bt Avenger is BT Avenger. And you guys didnt look closely enough at my Liverpool list... I am already doing the Pryce SA dual ISD horror

You can do triple Motti Interdictors.... I wouldnt advise it

Oh I looked Gink...at yours, PT106's and someone elses with 5 activations (think they won one of the US regionals)

Nearly went with Pryce but a number of factors dissuaded me - it very much depends on you choosing the right round for her and that then forces you to fly a certain way; I wanted flexibilty. I also wanted at least 4 if not 5 activations and it's more points to fit in and would mean dropping IO on Devastator which is kind of the point of my list!

I was mainly concerned with encountering Ben & Rikki's lists which have more activations than me and I thought someone might flying something similar to Green King's Sloane horror and/or the 6/7 activation Defiance monstrosity. I really wanted that 5th activation but just didn't feel comfortable running no squads.

I guess BT avenger vs BT Avenger is just who ever can pull off the trick first. Bombing it into the ground turn one works but risky. Just got to do some more testing

I would respectfully disagree. In my mind the counter to BT Avenger is non-BT Avenger with Supressor nearby.

And here I've been brainstorming what my Wave 7 Garm fleet is going to look like. I actually just bought tickets for a flight to London this Summer....grudge match!!!!
