Why do not the clawdites play in the scum faction? So bad are ... I think the hunter and spy feature bring a lot ...

The Clawdites are in a strange place within the scum faction. They have a good (but not necessarily great) spread of abilities and a truly excellent set of traits. The main issue with them is that, for the points, there are better options for any role they can fill. As a Senator support figure, the Gideon/3P0 combo provides better support for the same price. As a Scout sniper, they are outclassed in damage output by the Weequay Pirates, who bring 2 figures as well as the valuable Smuggler trait for only a single point more. The Streetrat can be used to make heavy melee attacks or as a quick objective runner, but Onar Koma makes bigger attacks, and the lowly Hired Guns provide better objective play at a fraction of the price. While Spy is a great trait, the current set of command cards almost require that you run a number of spies to make effective use of them. however, there are currently no other spies in the Scum faction, making it very difficult to build around.
Edited by ThatJakeGuyI've been running one together with Ashoka to make for two spies in the list (together with a bunch of different hunters). I really want spies to work, but struggle making it viable.

With R2-D2, "Planning," and "Officer's Training," you can through most of your command deck by round 3 ... making Leia's "Military Efficiency" surge pretty potent. Son of Skywalker, Assassinate, Grenadier ... in the right build, Leia can do some pretty significant work. Plus her attack is good for an extra free hit from Onar, IG, etc.
I'd say that a scum list could theoretically TA into Leia/Gideon and take an EClaw and an rClaw to spy up to 3, using the rClaw as Scout->Streetrat, maybe. But, as above, why not Greedo for a 4 point objective runner?
The real trouble is the opportunity cost. Hunters are cheap and plentiful in scum, so you need a really solid reason to play away from them.
The issue I have with them is that mercs have an embarrassment of support options. For eClaws at 6, I could have Jabba or the rebel care package, both of which are stronger. I tried out a rClaw the other night, and I only got one token each turn. Wasn't impressed. I wish Saska was cheaper so we could bring a claw into rebels. I think that's the best use of a claw--to give han & jyn evade tokens.
Ya, I feel like although they can play many roles, support, fighter, grabber, they're quite mediocre at them all. I like the spy command cards "Intelligence Leak" and "Comms Disruption" in this meta, so if you can fit a spy in, it's worth it.
