Hi, just wondering if a secondary weapon with range 2-3 can target a ship that has its base both in range 1 & 2.

Added weapons yes if the bit of the base in arc is at r2, else no, as for normal arced weapons.

No.... if the closest part of the base (in arc) is at range 1 it is too close. Per the rules...

"A ship cannot attack with a secondary weapon unless the target is at the specified weapon range (e.g. if the weapon range is Range 2-3, the weapon cannot be used at Range 1)."

So if you measure in arc, and the closest point is in range 1, you cannot shoot it with a weapon that says range 2-3.

Range in arc is what matters for arced weapons though.
