Quickdraw against Tie/D

By Taiowaa, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Yesterday we had the situation where Ryad shot at Quickdraw, QD lost a shield and killed Ryad with her returnshot. Ir Ryad destroyed immediately or does Ryad get to shoot her primaryweapon before the ship is removed?

Since both abilities occur at step 9 of the attack flowchart, Initiative determines who is the lady who fires first.

But either way, both abilities (shots) have to be resolved in initiative order, before moving to step 10 (Removing destroyed ships).

Thus, assuming that Quickdraw had the initiative since she fired first, Ryad would still get her shot before being destroyed.

So according to the "Timing Chart" Ryad can't perform another attack.

In this situation :

Ryad shoot first with her cannon against Quickdraw who lose a shield.

Quickdrawn use her ability (step 9 of timming chart) and attack and destroy Ryad.

Since Ryad is Ps5 and Quick Ps 9, Ryad is removed (step 10)

The Title allow 2 separate attacks so can't perform another attack if you have be destroy.

My 2 cents ! :)

This is wrong.

Both players have abilities that trigger at step 9, and both of them triggered (Ryad made a shot with a secondary weapon that cost 3 or less (I assume), so she gets another primary weapon attack... and Quickdraw lost a shield so she gets a primary weapon attack). In this case, abilities are resolved in initiative order NOT PS ORDER.

PS only matters if we reach step 10 (removing ships), but until ALL abilities from ALL players that triggered at step 9 are resolved, we can't go to step 10.

The Tie/D title allow two separate attack not "twice attack" like a TLT or clusters missiles who can shoot before remove.

A example of title who work on this case is Btl-A4 since the card said "immediatly" who the Tie/D don't have this sentence.

Since you need to finish a attack to use it but if you have been destroy you can't.

The "Twice attack" clause for attacks doesn't even reach the step 9 of the chart, and has nothing to do with this case.

The step 9 of the chart is for abilities that trigger "After an attack", such as BTL-A4 ... and TIE /D.

'Immediately' is a word used solely for emphasis, and has no game effects.

Alright my bad you right, I take word for granted and I forget this sentance on the Faq. :)
