Ways to Temporarily Stick Minis to Base

By GallagherT, in Star Wars: Legion

My son and I will be at Adepticon, playing in the Saturday skirmish tournament. I'd like to build my minis for that tournament in a non-permanent way so I can later prime the bases separate from the figures and pin the mini to the base. Problem is that the minis don't snap onto the base so I want to be able to play the game while at Adepticon without ruining my chances to later go back and take my time with the mini builds.

Any suggestions?

Blue tack

3M double sided tape the kind with a foam core. It sticks well and you can trim so it barely shows.

Yep. Definitely Blue Tack. It's cheap. It works great. It's reusable. I use it on my Warhammer models.

A small drop of superglue will be enough to hold them and easy enough to remove afterwards.

Super glue is not all that permanent. Just do one foot and a tiny amount.

All great suggestions, thanks. Does blue tack leave a residue? Is it hard to get off?

No and no.

This, superglue at least in small amounts is fairly easy to break apart without much hassle or damage.

one can use a bit of fingernail polish remover for the superglue, but IMHO, use blue tack, I use it a lot for keeping minis on bases before I am ready to glue them
