What X-Wing pilot do you want to fly again?

I flew Garven a few weeks ago, with FAA/IA. Man he's got a great ability. Get him any kind of buff and I'll be calling back.

It's been a while since I've flown Tarn and Hobbie but they're both pretty darn close to kicking butt. Would be great to see them truly cross the threshold.

I have been personally been playing around with this list.

•Dash Rendar (53) - YT-2400
•Lone Wolf (2), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Rey (2), •Outrider (5), Smuggling Compartment (0), Rigged Cargo Chute (1)

•Tarn Mison (28) - X-Wing
•M9-G8 (3), Vectored Thrusters (2)

•AP-5 (19) - Sheathipede-class Shuttle
Intelligence Agent (1), R2 Astromech (1), Pulsed Ray Shield (2)

Interesting interesting...

I typically think of putting R7 Astromech on Tarn because it works on multiple dice, but I suppose it only works once per round. M9-G8 works all day every day but only for one die at a time and costs a point more...

Have you flown him both ways? Which one do you prefer?

If Snap Wexley, Jake Farrell, and Wedge were actually good I would become an Imperial traitor in a heart beat.

I prefer R7 in most cases. But with the Ghost in meta, re rolling that one die per attack is a better option. (And can’t be rolled again with Maul.)

And you can lock on to Dash early in the game.

M9-G8 is a bit more versatile.

Prefer M9 because R7 does nothing until you are being shot at, while M9 turns you into a resilient support. Great to provide Norra with rerolls, strong for any TLT (so mainly Nym and Miranda).

I fly Garvin Dreiss all the time, though admittadley not at tournaments because I always fly empire. ^_^

Just did a game the other day with Luke, Wedge, and Braylen in the ARC. Luke is pretty tanky with R2 and if wedge didn't roll crap defense and die quickly I think he would have done a lot of damage.

I would love to start flying Luke.

I fly Wedge all the time, and his ability is so deadly in the current meta. It's too bad he flys an Xwing and dies really fast.

+1 for Luke Skywalker. He’s not such a bad pilot you know.

Because we want BOTH Dave and Dutch in the same list! Can you be in two astromech slots at once? Nope..

besides you you are already welded to my Horton build. Which unfortunately keeps his greens at one and two straight.

Thanks a lot.

I know this isn't about using old Xwing Pilots, but I thought you guys might like the X-Wing action in these photos from a 200 point game I played last weekend.

The two guys in my hall who played against me wanted to play the Imperials, and my response was "I want to fly all my X-Wings!"

GO X-WINGS!

Soontir Fel. He flew an X-Wing at some point, right?

Luke Skywalker.

I love his ability!

Fel in X-wing, Wedge in Squint. The galaxy has gone crazy!

If there's some way to put autothrusters on a T-65, Luke could be pretty tanky. Debris Gambit for more shenanigans.

I would love to do an update of the Wes, Wedge and Luke list that I ran constantly when I got into the game. Having said that I do still run Wes regularly with Black One Poe and Weapons Engineer & M9-G8 Fenn. There are so many things in the game right now that really hate having their tokens stripped and attacks with passive re-rolls.

I never stopped flying them, and one of my current go-to lists is Wedge/Wes/Tarn. Last year I took Wedge/Luke/Biggs to my local regional and got 4 wins out of 6.

I'd like to use all the pilots I haven't named above more often as they only find their way into my lists occasionally. I've probably used Hobbie the least but Garven "Dave" Dreiss is the one I'd most like to get more use out of, just wish he had an EPT slot as mentioned above.

Any chance you could post the Wedge, Luke, Biggs list? I have been trying to build this squad but i am never happy.

I've recently had some fun with those three all with Predator, Flight Assist Astro, and Intergrated Astro. If the new stuff from the Partisan pack can make that list better, I'll be a happy man.

Poe. I hope ghost Fenn goes away so I can fly Poe again.

5x PS1 x-wing or you are doing it wrong

Sure, the list I used was:

Biggs Darklighter (25) - R2-F2 (3), Integrated Astromech (0)
Luke Skywalker (28) - Draw Their Fire (1), R2-D2 (4), Shield Upgrade (4)
Wedge Antilles (29) - Push the Limit (3), BB-8 (2), Integrated Astromech (0)

Total = 99pts

I used this before the Biggs nerf, so the list is not quite as strong as it used to be, but I still think it's good for friendly games or tournaments where there is a prior agreement that the top meta lists are avoided. The one bit I might change is R2-F2 on Biggs. It's useful if facing a lot of low strength attacks like TIE swarms and TLT's, but against more conventional fighters and 4-dice attacks R4-D6 is better. With the points saved you could arm Wedge with Plasma Torpedoes. Alternatively Biggs could have R2-D6 and then take the Selflessness EPT, so you can draw hits off Luke or Wedge on a turn when his ability isn't active.

I want to fly Rookie Pilots. Unfortunately, the new PS1 renegade pilot will probably make them go the way of the Red Squadron Pilot...

I also want to make Garven and Luke work.

Obviously I want all of the pilots back, but I'm not super worried about Wedge, Tarn, and Wes - they're always going to be good. And Porkins and Biggs - well, I like them, but I feel they're both realistically powerful compared to the movies.
