Congrats to both of you for making the cut at the regional.
Great listen, glad to have the podcast back up and going.
That was a great tournament -- lot of good lists there, and both my wins and my losses were good games. I was Game 3 vs Jake -- wrote it up on the Regionals Lists thread. From my side, a huge mistake was forgetting to Intelligence Leak with the ESabs on turn one (I would have known Vader's full potential range), and leaving Chewie a bit too exposed. Other than that, I sank way too many activations into trying to stun Vader, instead of aggressively committing to the objectives. Dunno if it would have swung the game -- that map and mission definitely favored Jake's build and play style!
I've been thinking through whether a rebel list might accomplish what Eric's did for Imps. That is, a beefy objective holding list that doesn't need to keep any given figure.
I kicked around a draft that looks like this:
11 - EWookie Warriors (13 hp apiece, 3 good surges)
11 - EWookie Warriors
2 - rSmuggler
2 - rSmuggler
5 - MHD-19
3 - Gideon
1 - Trusted Ally
2 - C-3P0
3 - Chopper
10 figures - 8 activations - 79 health
Command Deck including Miracle Worker, Balancing Force, Heart of Freedom, etc., along with defense, speed, and brawler cards
Basically thinking here that the Wookies aren't likely to be removed in a round, even by Vader. There are now enough brawler cards to get them a good hit or two in round two to do a bit of figure-fighting. Plus you've got maneuvers from Chopper ramming and Gideon. MHD can keep people alive. Trusted Ally would basically work like a rebel zillo after the fact, and the wookies might just live long enough to use it. MHD would have to run in and back out to avoid becoming a primary target, but if you lose him, it's not a huge loss.
What it seems to lack compared to Dietz's list is a serious offensive threat -- you'd really have to win on objectives, and there's not a ton of firepower to shove people off of them. Maybe the list needs Chewie instead of one EWarriors? (Which would, y'know, save me a few bucks on the next Wookie pack, but not give me the joy of painting two more ... those guys are a blast to paint!).

I suppose the other possibility would be 3 x Elite Echo Base Troopers, dropping 2 EWookies and one rsmuggler. Similar HP numbers, 3 offensive activations with range, and the Trooper keyword for grenadier and call the vanguard. MHD could maybe turn into Jyn at that point, looking for stuns and crate-moving runs in a box with 3p0.
Interesting list! I think you’ll find it lacks a certain amount of fire power, though. Maybe drop your elite Wookiees down to regulars to gain 6 points. Then, I wouldn’t use MHD, since in an objective list everyone will be too spread out for him to be effective. That gives you 11, which is enough for Chewie (for Wookiee synergy—Adrenaline!!!) or Han or Drokkatta or whoever. I’m also not sure about Chopper and Trusted Ally in this list, so maybe see if you could get some more fire power there.

Yeah, it just feels like rWooks don't have the health to survive, say, Vader + an EJet shot. EWooks could stand on an objective and stick their tongues out.
But I am persuaded that maybe 3 x Elite Echoes would be better. 6 shots that get better with close range, and more command card diversity. Pulling MHD for Jyn or something makes sense too.

Only 2 of a elite unit and/or 4 of the regular units can be fielded at one time. So even though 3xeEchos would be interesting, you could only field 2 and use rEchos after that. If that rule wasn't in place, we'd probably see 5xeQuays with Greedo running around.

Interesting -- didn't know that one. Two other options would be Ko-Tun (block tokens on Echoes) or Elite rebel troopers. ETroopers can reinforce, and they can still use grenadier or covering fire, take objectives, and with aim and ready weapons, they might be able to do some real damage against EJets, white die figures, or figures like Onar and Equays.
