How to fly? (2 pickles)

Hi, I have a game in about 5 hours I only have the following list available (I share my models with another guy and can't get to our shared stash in time to pick up anything else) and have yet to fly it myself.

So I am looking for any tips you guys can give me on how to fly the following without embarrassing myself!

The typical answer to using two MC80H in an Ackbar list is: "Don't". Usually you can get better value out of a cheaper platform.

However, since you are set on the list?

  • Make very sure that your MC80s are set up to cover each others fronts from being blocked in.
  • Don't be afraid to use the flotillas as blockers to keep targets in or out of range.
  • You are better off making sure one target is in your side arc, rather than trying for two and missing them both. It's not like you can shoot them both anyways.
  • Make the engagement as long as possible. Your ships are very durable, but without serious dice luck you need a good number of shots to kill anything.

I you'll have alot of close games. You'll habe trouble keeping ships out of your back arc so always set up at a slant or diagonal in the corner to keep them in front of you. "Conga line for two" style

I literally can't change it before I get to visit my hometown next weekend. ^^
And I just wanted to test pickles and have a good game :)

I would swap the titles, run Ackbar in the back on Defiance. Dial in Nav commands for both ships pretty much continuously for the sake of Engine Techs, and change to Engineering using Leia when needed.

Agree about running Ackbar on defiance. But I would spam engineering and comms net the nav token for engine techs. Maybe Lando for Raymus, and QBT for XI7. QBT lets you add a blue for leading shots, and you can run at speed one and engine tech for effective speed two maneuvering.

Almost on the move!

Won my game. Mainly because my enemy messed up pretty badly.

Extremely unfavorable matchup otherwise ^_^ (bombers galore)
