So in current meta of PS11 coordinate and PS11 alpha lists.
What level of bid are people choosing ?

I dug out an old PS10 list made during the proliferation of Nym last year, and it has a 4 point bid. Seems pretty pointless currently. Were I bidding and it was important I’d never go for less than a four point bid. Most people in my experience go for 3.
disclaimer, I have faced a 14 point bid before. That guy is an insane genius though.
14pts that a whole ship.
My list for upcoming regional is PS11 across board with 4 point bid. That should undercut most other PS11 lists but i am interested in peoples views.

0. It’s a race to the bottom and I refuse to play.

As a scrubby casual, I always try to fill my 100 point quota. If I have a list at 98-99 I always feel like I've missed something.
I usually come it at 100. Sometimes I wil come in at 99 and be happy with it. If I come in at 98 or lower I usually will throw Vectored Thrusters or similar upgrade on a ship to get to 100.
3-5 or 0
If i'm playing Soontir,2 points or so, otherwise 0...
My bid is Torkil Mux.
-2. Build that 102pt list and bid that they don't notice
.
2 point bid seems enough to outbid most Fenn Rau + lists (including ghosts). Do you need to outbid anything else?
I usually don't worry too much about bids, except for Thweek lists. I'm currently testing one with a three point bid.
In the current meta you need to out bid only the ghost fenn. If you can’t the ps doesn’t really matter as long as you’re above 3.
2 points to get below the 99pt. I need to give away initiative if we both are at ps11, but I can't afford more than two points.

14 points was in the era of 2 phantoms. Running two fully upgraded buzzsaw phantoms you could either bring a TIE fighter additionally or not. And bringing the TIE fighter was a liability in MoV terms because it dies and doesn't contribute. So it doesn't get brung.
Personally if I'm bidding at all I'm gonna bid 3 points, but I'm only really gonna bid at all at PS11 at the moment.
1 point usually
0pts or maybe 1pt if I have at least one PS9+ in my squad. If it's any more than that it's because I've run out of upgrade options and don't want to switch to more expensive upgrades for the sake of it.

PS11 Poe w/ B1
Which is what I ran with a 2pt bid at the Portland System Open. That was enough to get me the choice of initiative in 6 out of 7 games.
Edited by nitrobenzI always spend my 100 points, im here to party.
88 points. What, no love for the lone Academy Pilot?
If PS/going first/second matters for my list, anywhere from 2-5 points, depending on the meta and what I think other lists that care about the same things are bidding. If the list is all low-midrange PS pilots that don't particularly care, because I know I'm going to be out-PSed anyways, no bid.
That said, I've played lists with bids of 6, 10, 14, and 16 points. Almost always an even number out that far, interestingly.
Typically I'll bid 0 in Rebel lists, because I don't fly Poe and every PS below 11 is unimportant.
When I fly Imperials my bid is typically 0-2, and my lists are some variation of Carnor + Escorts.
Scum lists I build fluctuate from 0-3, depending on if I'm running Thweek, Fenn and/or VI shadowcasters.
2 points is enough to guarantee it in my local meta, but my bids are usually 1 or 3 points, just the way the upgrades work out.
