What happens with multiple cards requiring trigger condition?

By strikenowhere, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hey guys,

I've been playing for a while casually, but I feel like I need a final explanation as to what happens when you have two or more cards on a ship that trigger based on the same die roll/command? For instance if I have both Flight Controllers & Rapid Launch Bays, do I get to choose only one of these upgrades to use and would have to use a squadron token to trigger another (for a single squadron effect)?

And if I have two weapons upgrades that trigger when a critical gets rolled e.g. Overload Pulse & XX-9 Turbolasers does it depend on how many critical dice rolls I have or can I only trigger one? Or is all I need a single critical roll to trigger both?

Thank you for your time!

Unless it is specified that something is spent to trigger an effect, multiple effects may be triggered off the same event. In the example of your Flight Controllers and Rapid Launch Bays, both may trigger off a single command dial.

Criticals are pretty much the same, but they do have one key difference. You may only trigger one critical effect each attack unless you have Fire-Control Team. However, if you do have Fire-Control Team, a single critical symbol can trigger both effects (accounting for any color modifiers like blue / black). Since you don't have to discard the dice to trigger the first critical effect, the critical symbol is still available to trigger your second critical effect.

I'm not where I can quote the relevant sections of the RRG, so someone else may be able to be more exact and point you to the rules themselves. If not, I'll try to get back to this to update it.
