For when Poe finally gets his hands on the Falcon

Wrong dish!!
Wow, that paint scheme looks absolutely fantastic on a Falcon. Super cool!

It's definitely the right dish, obviously by right I mean the one that I could get cheapest
Wrong dish? Clearly you are mistaken, that is the correct dish or NO dish. I dont know where you people get off thinking the falcon ever had any rectangle looking dish, maybe if you guys laid off the legends material we could get back to thrashing Isard and winning the bacta war? Yes?
Which one is the trick and which one is the treat?

Lol...**** yeah. Now if I could get that title on a Falcon....ooooh boy.
I have done matching dials for them too but don't have a picture, I will put one up later
I don't get the model Poe is Black One, but he has 2 Gray stripes, shouldn't he have just one with the rest being orange or not there at all?

It's code. 3 orange less 2 gray= Black 1. You could pick some other color and that would indicate a different math problem which would designate the ship. The squadron would understand the codes but an enemy listening in on your comms hearing "Black One" wouldn't instantly know which ship was meant.

Or, you could argue he has 4 black stripes, and the Grey and Orange are purely cosmetic.

Still works with the code idea. 4 Black, 3 orange, 2 gray.
Well, I have no idea what any of that is about, but here is R2-D2 after I finally decided that the Black One model needed some work.
Then I bought a second one in case I wanted to run dancing Poe instead of plot armour, so here is the one with BB8

Ok Thanks I have 3 regular T-70s and am going to get another Force Awakens Core set for the 2 extra Tie/fos along with all the extra goodies (Dice, Rulers, Etc.). And I was just wondering how the markings worked because I'd like to do my Gray and Blue T-70's to have a squadron of 5 with Poe's Black One as the Lead. So I wasn't sure how I'd need to paint my stripes for Blue's 2-4. Though looking at the 5 stripes it might just be easier to paint them out and leave 2 to 4 as I go along and try to add some paint variance between each model. Still Much appreciated
Really you can do whatever you'd like. I kind of pulled that all out of my backside and out of some of the other conversations here and there on these forums about squadron markings and various things of how they'd mark up aircraft in WWII.

Not to be all military but,
Shouldn't Poe really be Black 6 and all other be Black 1-5? (Based off of US military system.

Well, call signs are not pay grades. In my (non-combat) unit, the highest ranked have lower numbered call-signs.

In Star Wars, The rebel/resistance pilot with the number 1 after their squadron name was the leader of the group.
This is why Jon Vander is refered to as "Gold Leader" while his Y-Wing is "Gold One".

(Waaaaaaaayit. So does that make Han the second highest ranking? Or Rey? Or an Outer Rim Smuggler?)

After Gold One was destroyed during the Battle of Yavin, the Millenium Falcon was given the designation instead.
This means that Lando was "Gold Leader".
As we haven't had any canon mention of another Gold One used by the Rebels since the Battle of Endor, the Falcon is still Gold One and it's pilot is therefore "Gold Leader".
So Rey, Han and Chewie have all been "Gold Leader", along with Unkar Plutt.

So would that also make the Quadjumper "Gold One/Leader?"

Darn never thought of that Since I have both Falcons (and can only use the title on one) I might do some fixes on the damage parts of the original since it's less detailed and do a Yellow themed YT-1300 for my Y-wing/B-wing squadron
