Look, I get it a 3 ISD list is not going to be viable, at least most likely, in a competitive setting. But you can't tell me with the new expansion that you are not gonna run a 3 ISD list and try to make it work in a casual game at least.

So here's the point. How would you build this list? I'm working on my own and will share it when I finish thinking about it.

3 Star Destroyers seem to get a little crowded.

Those ISDs look longer and slimmer than our models

Its because the FFG model is off-scale.

I've been trying these two triple ISD lists. Moff JerJerrod could be substituted (or Motti with little tweaking) but I like the speed control that Konstantine provides. Bomber lists that squadron command a lot will just have to accept that I can dictate their speed by the second or third turn.

the 3 cymoon is my approach also. Still looking at upgrades.

3 ISD lists are great when you up the points to 600. I've run 2 such games and they took about the same amount of time as a standard game. If I can remember what I built (it was ad hoc) I will post it.

I did find that I liked Tarkin a lot more at the 600 level.

I’ve tried it with SAd and SFO on the other ones. Kallus is kinda meh in this- you are pretty much all in on killing ships as you have nothing to pin squads in your black flak range

If I buy Kallus for Vader's ship and the enemy bombers stay away from it then I think it is 3 points well spent.

2 SFOs sounds good though. I've been surprised at how many times a 1-2 point bid gets you the initiative choice.

I mean, this is the standard imperial fleet in almost every story. Thankfully, it is possible to put 3 ISD IIs plus 5 TiE squadrons in 400 pts. Regretfully, that will end just like in the movies.

This. It's entertaining to run. Especially when you get to activate all three commands on turn 1, just because you can.

You mean, Tarkin gives every ISD a "Concentrate Fire" token. At the start of ship phase you then discard one of that tokens, the "Entrapment Formation!" card, and the "Shields To Maximum!" card for no effect just because you can?

This will be most entertaining for your opponent to watch!

No. Tarkin gives every ISD a CF token, Sovereign changes that token to a Nav for one ISD and an Eng for the other. All three Fleet Commands work :)

All the timings are 'At the start of the ship phase' so you get to choose the resolution order. Tarkin - then Sovereign - then Fleet Commands.

Okay. So it's pointless but not self-crippling.

But, thank you! Now I underständ, the fun in it is, you can do it every round without thinking. So it's a really nice trick.

Oh man oh man it's a good time to be getting back into armada, these lists are ridiculously fun looking
