A suggestion for FFG

By DelGriffen, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

You are developing a very passionate and creative community for table top miniatures between Legion, Rune Wars, X-Wing, Imperial Assault and Armada. You could unify and really galvanize the community by creating a digital magazine.

The overall effort to yourself would be minimal as there would be many that would be happy to contribute painting and terrain building articles, along with battle reports and design interviews. You could even solicit short stories to develop backgrounds for Rune Worlds.

Most of this will happen on the forums regardless, but I think you could have a very large impact by consolidating and polishing it.

Personally, I would pay 3 or four dollars a month for a real hobby focused publication again.

Yeah - I'd be all-in for contributing content regarding the creative aspects of the miniatures hobby, and I'd pay for such a magazine, too.

That's kinda what the daily articles are, I guess- but more content like "terrain building" and stuff would be cool to have more regularly.

The daily articles are good, but far and in between. They also just kind of appear, I think there are enough of us that we could get a month’s worth of articles out every month. What the daily and preview articles really show is they have the capability to do this rather easily.

I like the sound of "Fantasy Flight Magazine" and I miss how the old White Dwarf magazines used to be so informative. Last time I opened a White Dwarf though, it was more like a catalog for new releases than a hobby publication.

Edit: With that being said, I think moving to print would be a step backwards. FFG has a lot more flexibility when they can publish their articles when ready, instead of rushing to meet print deadlines.
