It depends on what the rest of the list is and how you plan to use him. If he's a flanker or you were planning on keeping your ships spread out anyway, then yes, absolutely AA.

If you were going to fly him in a formation, especially with slower ships in front, then no. AA will cause you more headaches in such a scenario.

Having said that, there aren't too many imperial lists that would want Pure Sabaac in formation. A few, but not many...
