I'm looking at kicking off a "side campaign" for 3 of my 5 regular players, to play when the other two aren't available (they live in a different city and we only get together every few months).
Everyone's keen on running a KOTOR - well, a "The Old Republic", technically - era campaign. I'm still in the very early planning stages, but I'd be looking at placing it during the same period as the TOR MMO, between the First and Second Great Galactic Wars between the Republic and Sith Empire. Lots of "Cold War" operations, similar to the actual missions from the online game.
Most of the stuff I've just reskinned - Sith Troopers are just Stormtroopers, for example. A CR-12 Thranta corvette is just a Nebulon-B, a Liberator fighter is an X-Wing, and so on. I realise the later stuff is more advanced technology, but since there is no comparison between the two tech levels, I figure it doesn't really matter (of course, knowing my games, someone, somehow, is going to travel through time! ).
(Possible spoiler below for anyone who hasn't yet seen "The Last Jedi")
The question I had is tangential to one I asked a little while ago regarding "flavours" for Sith Lords. Since this era has lots and lots of people running around with red lightsabres, and the Force is "awakened" at this time (the power level of Force-users seems much higher), I was thinking of definitely kicking the characters off at "Knight Level". But I was thinking of adding in some stuff from the old WEG games regarding Force powers - some of the amazing ones like phasing through solid objects, or the "Doppelganger" power, similar to what Snoke and Luke were using in "The Last Jedi".
I would also be adding in some of the other Force traditions, and even a fan-made one from the old WEG game called the "Jhemadan" who used unarmed martial arts with their hands and arms "powered up" by the Dark Side to allow them to deflect blasters and parry lightsabres. We all just like the visual (and my online namesake - Daronil - was a padawan who fought these guys around 30 BBY in an old WEG campaign from the late 90s/early 2000s, and they were great fun! )
So, (after all that) the question!
Does anyone know of any existing resources along these lines that are available to plunder? If there is, it would save me reinventing the wheel and a great deal of time. If there's not...well, frankly, I love creating this sort of thing and would enjoy doing so, and I'm happy to put it up for everyone else to plunder. I just don't want to repeat what others have done and would prefer to add, rather than replace, if that makes sense?
Thanks for any suggestions.
