Too big.

He looks pretty tiny compared to the size of that body.

looks like the size is just big enough to cram 2 squads into, albeit with standing room only for one group. As an experiment, once legion is out we could cram 12 guys into a tight pack and that would be just about the limit on what can seem to fit into a u-wings space. That AT-AT by contrast looks like it can fit several dozen stormtroopers.

The actual troop compartment in the U-wing is pretty small, but there is a lot of empty space around it even in the body - for example the big wedge at the front of the cockpit.

The seating arrangement in the u-wing is also very inefficient.

Just for my own gratification how about the AT-ACT from Rouge One and the AT-M6.

If you're taking requests, I'd love to see an AT-ST added. I'm trying to see how close to scale the Bandai Snowspeeder model is. I got it and it seems a tad small at 1/48 but it might be close enough. My only concern is that with an actual T-47 flying over it, immersion will be broken and it will look like a gnome speeder.

I own the Bandai Snowspeeder model. I'm really anxious to see the comparison to the Legion model, but those things are tiny ships. I think they should be close enough. My bandai T-47 is just parked as a terrain piece.

Finding top views of AT-ATs is a bit difficult. I used the same photo as reference for all walker types. I'm aware their footprints are all a bit varied, but this should give some reference on size/scale when compared to a Legion play area. Left to right: AT-AT as seen in the Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi, AT-AT (pre GCW) as seen in Star Wars Rebels, AT-ACT as seen in Rogue One, and AT-M6 as seen in The Last Jedi.

Just finished building and painting my T-47 for desert mat wreckage. I think it will be fine. Really nice model too, it was a shame to wreck it.

Lol. But totally worth it.

I am working on a large landing pad similar to what was on Endor. The Battle Kiwi Endor Kickstarter landing pad is 50cm x 25cm, which about the size I was going to make mine. Turns out that that size is not big enough to land two Lambda shuttles like on Endor. I now see that I won't make my landing pad that large, which would be too large on a 6x3 foot board. The only question is whether I create a 20" x 20" landing pad instead. Then again, maybe I will do both as I will make it modular for storage. I am also considering to make a scratch built shuttle to fit. I do promise to provide pictures of all of my terrain.

I always thought the AT-ACT was smaller than the AT-AT. Hmm. I wonder what the reason of the AT-ATs getting smaller as the GCW goes longer is. Good thing I asked!

Could be like the Russian kv2 at the beginning of ww2. Huge and unweildy.

Smaller model often implies that it's cheaper to produce. Therefor you can have more of them and supply more theaters of war. If the loss in firepower due to being a smaller model isn't really relevant in a lot of cases you don't lose much tactical utility on the battlefield for using the smaller models.

@AldousSnow Nice work, could you perhaps add a unit of 6 troopers, for comparing the vehicles with a normal squad?
