Rivals cards legal outside draft play?

Why are some database listing Rivals set cards as forbidden... can you not use these in standard format play?

They are legal in standard

probably because until now they werent even released technically.

They are legal in all three formats, not just standard.

Since Rivals was released yesterday, they aren't technically tournament legal for a week

So that draft I played in wasn't technically legal. LOL.

That's incorrect. Everything is legal upon (wide) release except for events larger than Regionals, where the 11 day rule applies.

And to tweak MegaSilver's response a bit, I'd change (wide) to (official) -- Legacies was pretty widely released in its 'Holiday' preview wave in January, but wasn't officially released 'till two weeks ago. Rivals, on the other hand, is now officially released but I'm not quite sure how wide it is yet.
